In another article by the same author 1680 is used in big magnum cartridges. Huh

If I tried using small rifle magnum primers in my .30-'06 cases, they'd fall out.

If you tried 1680 in a 300 magnum your large rifle primers would fall out too. The author doesn't know shit from shinola.
