RE: California Non Resident CCP - Rampy - 10-31-2025 From what I understand The "CCW test" in California refers to the required shooting qualification and written exam to get a Concealed Carry Weapon permit. To pass the live-fire shooting, you must demonstrate proficiency with each firearm you want on your permit by hitting a certain percentage of rounds on a B27 target (often 80%). The written test involves 25 multiple-choice questions, and you must answer at least 18 correctly to pass. So if you want to have options & different handguns for each firearm you need to shoot the course of fire and qualify |
