Another attempt.... - tommag - 04-26-2026 So this teacher of the year from California managed to book a room where the Whitehouse correspondents dinner was held? I'm pretty sure that's not easy to do. He was able to get there with a long arm and hand gun. If he owned them prior to traveling and drove to DC that's certainly doable. If he flew they could be taken in checked baggage. If he obtained them after arrival, that's not as simple as it used to be. By now almost everybody is aware of the rules regarding private sales to non residents. That leaves black market sales. It would seem to me that you'd have to know somebody.... I'm pretty sure this wasn't a lone wolf attack. RE: Another attempt.... - olfart - 04-26-2026 Agreed, he almost had to have help from somebody on the inside. That part will never be made public, though. RE: Another attempt.... - tommag - 04-26-2026 This morning it's being reported that he took the train and owned his firearms prior to leaving California. RE: Another attempt.... - olfart - 04-26-2026 I have some serious questions about that whole thing. A woman saw him "assembling" his long gun in an unused room where bar carts were stored. Why was that room unlocked? Why did that woman not go immediately and tell the Secret Service there was a man with a gun in that room? Why did the Secret Service man at the table step out of the guy's way as he ran through the entry instead of trying to stop him? Way too many loose ends in that situation. RE: Another attempt.... - specops56 - 04-26-2026 I noticed that the same short, fat DEI hire agent chick that was at the first attempt was at this one too. Seemed to be in charge too. ![]() Terry. |
