Calling all 7.62x39 experts! Headstamp ID needed.

I have a 50 cal ammo can full of loose 7.62x39 rounds my late friend gave me and I need to identify the manufacturer.



I suspect it may be Chinese but I may be way off base. I haven’t counted how many rounds but the can is full to the top. I’m also trying to determine the value before the gunshow I have tables at next weekend. Thanks in advance!

I had a brain fart when I said it was a 50 cal can. It’s a full 30 cal can. I did the magnet test and it’s definitely steel. I did some math and by my calculations there should be 715 rounds or very close to that. I will do the actual count tomorrow and will let you know how close I was.

My wife went ahead and did the counting for me. Boy oh boy was my math off! Instead of 715 theres actually 500.
