New sight for r92

A few years ago I bought a stainless Rossi 92 in .357. I smoothed out the action and replaced the plastic magazine follower with a metal one. Buckhorn sights don't play well with my eyes so I ordered a rear aperture sight from a Russian guy that replaced the safety. Turns out there's no way to lock it in place besides shimming the bottom and leaving it set at that position. Without shimming it was about 30° from straight when screwed all the way down.
I ordered this sight from Steve's guns. It has a knurled locking ring, much better!

I haven't installed it yet, but I like the fact that it has no groove for the pin that holds it in place so I can cut the groove myself for a proper fit. It also comes with the right size drill bit to cut the groove in place with the bit of you prefer to use that method.[Image: IMG-20250418-104024.jpg]
