Ol ma nature has always been a good indicator for me. Anytime the jackrabbits turned white in august/early september winter came early. A well dressed coyote in october always indicated a cold winter.
So now that I'm no longer out and about, I've noticed another sign.  The mice are already moving in, grrr.  I think it's going to be an early winter here.
Well, traps are set, poison is out. I hate those little buggers.

We looked into refinancing with them a year or so ago…..had the paperwork looked over by a veteran who is in the financial field (not loans) and was told to run away from them, it’s a hidden trap as we would pay way more than what was quoted 

We went with USAA who sold the loan & it’s still cheaper than new day USA

This has started in three states… they are looking for others to send in complaints.

“CFPB Takes Action Against NewDay USA for Unlawfully Deceiving Servicemembers and Veterans Seeking Cash-out Refinance Loans

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) recently took action against repeat offender New Day Financial, LLC (NewDay USA), ordering it to stop misrepresenting loan costs to borrowers and to pay a $2.25 million civil penalty to the CFPB’s victims relief fund for unlawfully deceiving active duty servicemembers and veterans seeking cash-out refinance loans.

The CFPB found that NewDay USA violated the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 (CFPA). NewDay USA misled borrowers in North Carolina, Maine, and Minnesota about the costs of its cash-out refinance loans. Specifically, for the “new loan” payment amount listed on disclosures provided to consumers, NewDay USA included only the principal and interest payments. NewDay USA then presented a side-by-side comparison of the “new loan” payment amount with that of the “previous loan” payment amount, which included principal, interest, taxes, and insurance. This made NewDay USA cash-out refinance loans appear less expensive relative to consumers’ original mortgages, but for many consumers the refinanced loans were more expensive. These deceptive acts and practices are in violation of the CFPA.

Since at least 2015, NewDay USA has provided cash-out refinance loans to consumers, including veterans and active-duty servicemembers. In 2015, the CFPB took action against New Day Financial for paying illegal kickbacks and deceiving borrowers about a veterans’ organization’s endorsement of NewDay USA products.

Consumers who are eligible for redress do not have to do anything. NewDay USA will be contacting affected consumers about relief.

Back in '73 me and Ernie were hunting in the cabinet mountains. We were 2 days from the road when he got bit by a rattler. The standard first aid procedure was to cut the area at the bite and suck the poison out. Anyway, there was no such things as a cellphone to call for help on so we tried to make it back to the pickup. He didn't make it and I sure do miss him.
He might've made it if he wasn't taking a leak when he got bit.

Last night's egg drop soup made it through breakfast this morning, but I'm still craving chicken soup. 
So today I'm using what's in the fridge. 1/2 stalk of celery (I need to go shopping), some garlic and onion along with the last of my sesame oil (I really need to go shopping).
I diced up the last 1/4 cooked chicken breast and that's as far as I got for now. I'll add some chicken bullion, turmeric and frozen mixed vegetables along with maybe a 1/8 cup rice. Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
Oh yeah, add chicken bullion powder to the list.

Decades ago I bought a Remington 788 from a guy who acquired it in an estate sale. It had a Hart bbl and was chambered in .223 improved. He didn't want to mess with any of those "danged wildcats" so I bought it for less than the cost of the bbl. It has one of the nicest bedding jobs I've ever seen. I've done no work to it other than putting a timney trigger in so I can't claim any credit for it's performance. Its put together so tightly that if i seat a bullet too long and pull it accidentally a couple granules of 844 will prevent it from going into battery. The twist rate is 1:14" so it's limited to 52 gr or less bullets although it shot ok with 55gr Bart's (I don't think they're still available).
Initial fire forming was very promising, 53gr sierra HP over 24.7grs of wcc844. I was pleasantly surprised at groups around .5". Eventually I settled on 52gr Berger fbhp over some h322 in Lapua cases. CCI 450s were my choice of primers. I did all the benchrest tricks, turning the necks, uniforming the primer pockets and flasholes. Everything about this combination is wrong. Rear locking lugs and the extreme spread from 322 shouldn't work, but it did.
I know before I sit at the bench if I'll shoot well or not, it's almost a zen-like thing for me. I could never be a serious competitor in the bench rest game because on a bad day I can't shoot for shit. Another zen-like thing is I can see in my mind the path of the bullet before firing. Sort of like bowling, you know a strike when you release the ball.
Anyhow, this thing shoots in the high .1s on a good day. My ex-brother in law tried it and said " Not only could I castrate a fly at 100 yards, i can choose which testicle I'm going to take out first."
