Came back from a weekend of archery elk hunting and I saw this magnificent bastard in the display case and had to have it. Got it kitted out with a fde TLR1 HL so it can okay 50 shades of FDE (an FN tradition) and a Holosun 508T with green reticle they also had in stock. 22+1 rounds of 10mm is indeed glorious to behold.
I ran about 200 rounds of hit underwood through it and it works flawlessly so far, and is a real pleasure to shoot. Now it can be my cat/bear/wolf gun and my big boat of a Glock 40 MOS can take a break.
My favorite local custom holster maker (KT-Mech) got me a holster made in one day, which is awesome. Went with a camo fabric wrap to mostly match my hunting camp on the outside and black felt lining on the inside with this one.
So, my first batch of 30-06 are resized- awaiting length trim and beyond… I’ve done .223/5.56 and 450 Bushmaster, but it’s been a while, and I’ve never done 06’s. I dusted off Dad’s old dies and got going. 100+ cases deprimed, tumbled, and resized.
But now they’re all slimy. One short finger swipe on Hornady lube does 2-3 cases and they were just fine in the resizing die, but I hate handling lubed cases. Can I wash them? They don’t need a full stainless-steel-pin tumbling treatment, and I don’t really trust my vibratory tumbler… can I just use Dawn dish soap and wash the lube off?
