Senate Might Pass Gun Control Without a Fight… Tell Them To FIGHT BACK! It skipped committee… It didn’t receive an amendment vote… But Last Wednesday, Senator Chuck Schumer snuck gun control into Section 6075 of the National Defense bill. It’s been almost a week, and no Senator has opposed it! If Senate Republicans let this reauthorization of the Undetectable Firearms …<br/> <a class="postReadMore" href="https://www.gunowners.org/upcoming-vote-affects-every-gun-with-plastic-parts/">Read more<i class="fa fa-angle-double-right"></i></a>
When Iowa went ‘straight wall’ I hurried to build a Bushy (because I always hated slinging cannon balls out of a pheasant gun for deer hunting). When I found a bolt gun I liked, I scraped my pennies together and moved up to a Ruger American with GoWild. 450 Bushmaster is an awesome deer gun!
[FPC News] FPC AND FPCAF WIN: Fifth Circuit Denies Government Attempt to Reinstate A
<p><strong>NEW ORLEANS, LA</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> (</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">July 24, 2</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">023) – Today, Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) and FPC Action Foundation (FPCAF) announced that the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has denied the federal government’s attempt to completely stay the district court’s decision in </span><a href="https://www.firearmspolicy.org/vanderstok"><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">VanDerStok v. Garland</span></em></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, which vacated ATF’s unlawful “frame or receiver” rule. This decision, which the Fifth Circuit stayed for 10 days, prevents ATF from enforcing the rule’s “regulatory definitions of ‘frame or receiver’ and ‘firearm’ as applied to the Gun Control Act of 1968,” while allowing the (non-challenged) remainder of the rule to be enforced while ATF appeals the district court Order. Hello, I just registered here after I saw Rampy post the link over on the armory page (I was adair_usmc over there), but I saw no posts here so I figured I would start this section off showing off my newest rifle.
I normally hunt with one of my many Ruger no. 1 rifles but they have been getting a bit heavy for me, and with my bad shoulder they have been a pain to carry when doing 10-15 miles a day chasing after elk. This year with my move to Idaho I decided I was going to get me a new lightweight rifle, and I settled on the seekins precision havak element.
I was all set to go 28 nosler, which I have wanted to get into for years, but the barrel life of that round has always been a turnoff. Since its release last year however, the 7mm PRC caught my attention as being probably the better choice between the two for what I want to use it for. Seekins rifles in that caliber have been unobtanium, but after setting up stock alerts everywhere, Eurooptic finally came through.
Anyways, here it is, a brand new Seekins Havak Element in 7mm PRC, with a Leupold VX6HD 3-18 scope with illuminated TMOA reticle, Seekins rings, Titanium self timing brake, and a red kettle sling. total weight is 7.6lbs
