It's eaten as a hot porridge or chilled, sliced, and fried. I'm not a fan of it in a bowl, but like it fried.

You must not have put enough sugar, butter and evaporated milk on it in the bowl. GOOD stuff!

I just put this in the crock pot, adding one serrano pepper, some sliced carrots, and some okra. Not sure about how the okra will work but it's really growing so I better find a use for it. I like the taste but not the texture of okra so I mostly planted it for a neighbor.

Well, it didn't turn out as good as I thought it would. Before cooking, the sauce was fairly hot but it turned out a bit mild for my tastes. Maybe another serrano and a little less honey next time.

Thanks! It takes time. I stopped crying. It's still hard not seeing him sprawled out on his blankie on top of our bed.

Bought a ribeye chunk for $8.68/lb and cut it into steaks.
Steak, rare, with mushrooms and corn on the cob.
After mostly chicken and pork for a year or two I'm finding I prefer pork to beef, but it was still good.

Had a local rancher drop off a order of steaks, roasts & 50 pounds of 80/20 ground beef for $5.45 a pound & made meatloaf tonight

That ground beef was incredible
