The BEST parmesan cheese! - tommag - 04-22-2025 I picked up a half lb of belgioioso parmesan and grated some to put on a seafood casserole. I tasted it and it ls the best I've ever tasted! Here's the recipe I used, with a few changes. Imitation crab instead of real crab, sour cream instead of milk, then I added canned clams and frozen peas. I'll edit this after it's done and report on the finished product. https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/seafood-casserole/ The casserole turned out great! ![]()
RE: The BEST parmesan cheese! - srjdsmith - 04-22-2025 Mmmmmm. That sounds good! I smoked some shrimp yesterday. Tone’s used to have a coconut lime seasoning- sadly they don’t make any more. We grated limes and mixed with coconut and coated the shrimp and smoked. It was good! RE: The BEST parmesan cheese! - Rampy - 04-23-2025 I order Parmigiano Reggiano here instead of making a Costco run as it’s cheaper in the long run as well as incredibly tasty https://www.formaggiokitchen.com/cheese/italian/ RE: The BEST parmesan cheese! - tommag - 04-23-2025 (04-23-2025, 12:08 AM)Rampy Wrote: I order Parmigiano Reggiano here instead of making a Costco run as it’s cheaper in the long run as well as incredibly tastyThat's a little too spendy for me. The stuff I bought at my local store was something like $5.50 for 1/2 lb. I bought some asiago there that was disappointing. Costco has real Parmigiana Reggiano at a great price point, but we spend between $200-300 each Costco run….. So it’s cheaper ordering the expensive stuff 🤣🤣 |
