(Blue, Red, probably Green) Dot powder - srjdsmith - 09-19-2026 When I was a kid, it it seems like we could load literally EVERYTHING with Red Dot and 4756- shot, brass… everything. I don’t really need these powders, but just wondering… Why is the 4756 gone? Why can’t I find Blue Dot? Why is Red Dot so scarce? (Midway USA appears to have 1lb bottles, but I haven’t bought anything from Midway since Larry pledged his undying love for Wayne LaPierre) I can get any factory ammo, and primers and many powders and bullets… but why are some components still so scarce? RE: (Blue, Red, probably Green) Dot powder - tommag - 09-19-2026 Many powders have been discontinued, don't know if that's the case with the dots, but I'm pretty sure it is with 4756. The wars, especially Ukraine/Russia have had the powder mfgrs busy producing powders for military small arms as well. |
