Another dumb idea

I had this idea of putting a suppressor on my 17 fireball contender barrel for a compact grouse rifle. A 22lr barrel would be a better choice but I don't have one, so I'll just load the 17 down. I blew $100 on threading and was going to try it when i thought about stability.  Using an online calculator I found that I'd need 2800 fps, obviously way too fast if I hit one in the body. Oh well, at least I didn't mess up my suppressor.
