The VA put me on Mirtazapine (sp?) for sleep and it’s a wonderful medication

I was taking Ambian from about 2003 to 2006. After growing up with a an alcoholic and drug addicted older sister I swore I would never allow myself to get dependent on any substance for any reason. So I quit. I won't even take melatonin more than 2 or 3 times a month.
