Our carriage tour guide said they were the #1 cause of crashes on the island and actually caused the clinic to add a ATV “ambulance” and staff 🤷‍♂️
Yeah, they're fast, the one I'm most interested in can get up to 37mph. I'd never run that fast on gravel or dirt but would on the streets. The only one I've tried belongs to a friend and I only rode it to his barn and back. That throttle would take a little getting used to, it's very zippy but that's how electric motors are.
I can see people crashing them as it's "just a bike".  Even a non motorized bike will hurt you when you crash and then add a little more speed... Ouch! Heck, I broke my arm on a bike back around 1968.

Wish I had taken pictures, summer help live in dormitories & one had at least 75-100 bikes out front with about 1/3rd fat tire electric ones. I’ve never seen so many bicycles in my life

Want to go back and spend a day or two on the island. Still have a little Mackinac fudge and taffy left 🤣🤣🤣
