We get the bing cherries here but almost never the sweater rainier ones & then only in Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s at a very high price
I love them but very seldom purchase them

Michigan is a major producer of sweet cherries, and I've been known to eat them by the pound.
The best thing I've ever had made from cherries is only available in cherry country (AFAIK), and that is cherry cider. I can drink that stuff by the gallon!

https://www.cherryfestival.org/ Northwest. Michigan grows about 75 percent of the tart cherry crop. Oregon and Washington harvest about 60 percent of the sweet cherry crop. Other states with commercial cherry crops are Utah, Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania and California.

Had no idea…..mom got cherries by the flat & we all loved them, the wife does not like them ☹️☹️
I’m assuming you can still get fresh cherries the end of July, don’t think we could make it any sooner…..
Was not planning on going down towards Traverse City but now looking at re routing down that way and somehow around Chicago….Just wanted to avoid Illinois completely
