My ear hurts.

Made another trip to dermatology today. Got my left ear sliced and diced. Also the right side back of my neck. The lidocaine is wearing off. Won't be able to sleep on my left side tonight. Also got the stitches out of my right hand and arm from last week's session. If I ever disappear, at least they won't have any trouble identifying me by my scars.

Thanks! The pain is usually down to a low roar by the 3rd day. Besides, after 20 years of getting sliced and diced I'm used to it. Plus, I'm tougher than I look.

It's the legacy of a youth spent in the SC summers before the invention of sun screen. I had red hair, pale skin and freckles when I was a kid. When I was 12 or 13 I spent all day swimming in Lake Murray one Saturday that summer. Next morning I tried to get out of bed and fainted from the pain. I had 2nd degree burn and blisters covering every bit of skin the wasn't covered by my swim trunks. I had a blister the size of a large egg on top of each shoulder. It was Sunday morning and our doctor made a house call. I didn't know it then but found out later that I could have died. But I was tougher than that so I'm still here. After that my Mama made me wear a T-shirt in summer. All of my cancers have been on my neck, forehead, lower arms, hands and ears. Everywhere not covered by a T-shirt!
