Today I took 6 6v batteries to have them checked. Learned you could see signs of kaput ones visually. Little swelling in top of case near terminals indicates internal corrosion. These were wired in series for 48v golf carts....hmmm, that's only maybe 39v at full charge. Convinced the boss to buy 6 8v ones to do it right
He has about 20 assorted batteries in the junk pile. Charging one overnight and will bring my 2 chargers tomorrow. Ordered a 6-12-24v tester from Bezos' mercantile so we can clear out a segment of one shop. Gotta remember to grab a couple pallets to put the bad ones on. I'm actually enjoying having a routine to adhere to.
