Death in the Family - Rampy - 07-12-2026

My retired service dog has been deteriorating & we took him to the 2nd best veterinary college/hospital in the nation

He had some kind of deteriorating nerve condition along the lines of ALS in humans

Sine then he bonded with the wife who took over feeding him & the daughter as she spoiled him rotten

Got to the point he could not walk 20 feet & was stumbling and falling

The Vet came to the house….he was laying in his favourite spot with his head on the daughters lap…..she had just fed him his favourite people food McDonald’s hamburger & chicken nuggets

He passed peacefully and hopefully at rest now

This is the hardest part of owing pets, they trust and love you unconditionally &

My condolences, Rampy. It's always hard when that time comes.

Sorry for your loss.

I truly feel your pain brother. I lost 2 of my cats and almost lost a 3rd in the last 3 years. They really are family! You gave him the best life he could have had!

Dang man, I'm sorry. Losing a beloved dog hurts.

Ouch. I’m sorry for you. Hard to lose a faithful old friend.

Thanks, I’ve retreated into my shell, going to see Young Washington and loading mags as it’s easy to isolate at the range & focus everything on shooting

It really hit me harder than expected, knew it was coming & still having a hard time

A good family movie & popcorn will be good, drove 200 miles one way for a Mexican restaurant just to get out of the house today 😬😬
