Calling all M1 Garand experts - Help needed!

I have an M1 that was gifted to me by my best friend who died of cancer last September. While I am generally familiar with the M1, I am not a collector or expert.  I am going to have tables at the local gunshow next month. I plan to sell it and give the money to his widow to help her out with the probate expenses. I want to find out as much about this rifle and it’s fair market value so I can get her as much as I can for it.

Below is all I know for sure about it and a few pictures. Thanks in advance!

Well, I figured CMP would be a good source of info for you, but apparently they're out of the surplus M1 market. All they offer now is their new CMP receiver with surplus parts.

I did find a Garand collectors group with some info that might be helpful. https://www.militaria-deal.com/militaria...ifle-guide

You might check Gun Broker for price comparisons. I don't think I'd offer it for any less than $1,000 unless there's a flaw I haven't seen yet.
