Dang mice

While searching for some parts I found where some dummy left components out and the mice peed on them.

I need to teach the dummy to put things away and teach the mice to use a litter box.

Now they've moved into my living quarters. I've caught a couple of them and they show a preference for cheese or blackberry preserves. The arm on one trap was too long so I did a trigger job with diamond hones on it. It's so light that I have to be very gentle setting it down. I wrapped a tiny piece of cheese with blue tape to keep it on the pan. It seems I have a mouse with a PhD in bait removal.

I gotta be the world's worst mouse trap setter. Probably lost years off my life with them going off in my hand. Beats EOD though.

Yeah, that's the default avatar. I hate sticky traps but it looks like I need to get some. Your mention of EOD made me think... Etronix primers and a motion detector inside a tube. I blew a little skin off my finger with a primer once as well as a painful burn.

When I had a few mice out in my shop 2-3 years ago, these worked great and no hassle. I'm sure similar ones are as effective.

That looks like a good design. Local Walmart didn't stock it, I'll have to order it.
Amazon has six for $16.50 delivered tomorrow. That's what it would cost for 2 shipped to a local Walmart.

Thanks for the link, speedy. Mine arrived and I've deployed a couple. The deep bait cavity and the cavity upper half being the trigger looks fool proof as well as easy to set.
