Al long as the Iowa DNR calls them ‘pistols’ I can hunt deer with them during the ‘muzzleloader’ season when the legal method of take is a muzzle-loading rifle .50 cal or greater or bow, or pistol (including AR pistol).

Ok, then, because I’m curious does this mean I can build a suppressor? Clearly a regular manufactured would be much more precise and effective. Just because I sometimes like to build things instead of buying them already made… that’s why I have a room full of tools. I like making things. Can I make a suppressor without incurring the wrath of our benevolent overseers?
