Paging Rampy...

I don't remember a cemetery, but the area you describe sounds like the Red Desert/Wamsutter area. Also just east of Rock Springs is similar.

That area is mostly flat. This is driving me crazy. I do believe the cliff I am looking for is just a pocket of vertical cliff surrounded by normal sloped terrain. I remember it being a surprise when I saw it.

Along the way home Westbound I saw a little cemetery at the base of a shear cliff right off the north side of I80.  For the life of me I cannot remember where it was. What I do remember is it was on a slight downhill, the road turned to the right, I believe there was an over or underpass nearby,  The cliffs were worn vertical and lighter colored not grey. It was on a small Alluvial fan at the base of the cliff. It had green plants growing in it.  It is really close to the freeway and I remember the terrain dipping down from the freeway and then back up the cliff.  The cemetery was higher than freeway level. It was very small but easily recognized.

My days ran together and it could be anywhere between Cheyenne and Reno  but I left out of Coalville the day I think I saw it and think it is between there and  Salt Lake City.......I also thought it was the same day as I crossed the continental divide but that was the day before.....I have watched three videos of someone driving across those three states and still cannot find this thing....I'm getting obsessed with finding it now.

All I know about Coalville is it’s in Utah 🤣🤣

otherwise have absolutely no idea what your talking about, does not ring a bell
no real cliffs like you describe in Wyoming that I can think of & from Evanston to SLC it’s a bunch of twisty canyons like you describe

Wamsutter is the armpit of Wyoming & other than a few hills, no canyons or terrain like TT describes

I ended up watching three videos from a car driving across 80 from Wyoming to Reno and never saw what I was looking for. I am completely baffled as to why I cannot find it on a map. I finally had to stop looking for it as I was getting obsessed with finding it.

I asked in a couple different clown book groups and this is the most helpful response so far

Could it be between Evanston and Coleville? Maybe in the lower end of the canyon toward Echo Junction in Echo canyon? Maybe the old town of Emory Utah? Hope you find the answers.
I searched that area and there is nothing like what I saw. I ran the entire route from Reno to Cheyenne again today on google and still cannot find those cliffs. I guess it will give me something to keep searching for when bored.
