I’m seeing pics of some extreme weather in Juneau. Not sure where you are relative to Juneau. Your Instagram looks like winter, but Juneau looks pretty rough! Huge snowfalls, flooding, capsized boats in the harbor… Is that accurate? You seem to be ok, I hope so?

We’re headed to your neck of the woods this summer. A couple days at Denali (McKinley?) then cruise the inside passage to Vancouver. Gonna spend a day fishing in Ketchikan.

We are mapping out a drive across Canada up to Alaska & a small boat inside passage cruise (possibly train/boat combo) and long ferry ride down to Bellingham 

Figuring 2 months going slow and playing tourist

When I was a kid, we took a ferry from Seattle (or maybe Whidbey Island- don’t remember) up to Vancouver Island. I couldn’t figure out what was such a big deal about the straight of Wanda Fuka. (IYKYK) Why was everyone so excited about this? Who was this “Wanda” person, anyway? And I never found out what was so deceiving about the pass. Very confusing part of the world for a flatlander kid like me.

You have mountains compared to how flat it is where I’m from, you could ride you bicycle 2 hours in ever direction & never hit a hill 🤣🤣

Well, ok 😆 you’re thinking Dubuque. But I grew up in Chicago and Wanda Fuka didn’t live anywhere near there.
