Looks tasty. I might just need some cornbread with it. Especially Mexican cornbread.

Guess what?

I know, tomatos don't belong in chili Verde but they were getting ripe to the point of use them or throw them out.
Hatch chilis, Serrano peppers, tomatos grilled for peeling. Brown some pork shoulder and add some cilantro, tomatillos and other stuff and into the crockpot it goes. I just bought some wonderful garlic from a local farmer so I'll add a few cloves of that.

No, they're fairly small bulbs and nice and hot when raw. I ordered a couple very spicy varieties to plant in September, Bogatyr and Chesnock Red. I like spicy garlic, I ate 1/2 a bulb raw when I bought it.
Living next to the Air Base, our soil is too contaminated with the fire fighting chemicals for gardening so I'll be planting it in vary large pots.
Leftover Chile Verde, rice cooked with tomatoes and chilies, corn tortillas and a wedge of very ripe lime. Desert was a couple cloves of raw garlic.

Oh ok, they looked a bit large in the pic. Bet that was some good eating. I'm making some gumbo in the next few days. Need to get some chicken thighs and ground chuck used up first. Probably 5-6 days.

Gumbo sounds great. I have some crawdad tail meat in the freezer, maybe I should make a pot of etoufee this weekend.

Leftover bison jalapeno cheddar brats of some kind from a small family butcher where the daughter lives

Might have sugar free baked beans or a bag salad
Found 1# short ribs in the freezer, not enough meat for a meal so I browned them and some country style pork ribs. Add a quart of sauerkraut (wish my home made kraut was fermented enough) and simmer that together for a couple hours. Boil some potatoes and crush them with kraut.

I decided to give Factor another try. I lost weight when I was doing it before. After I stopped I went back to eating the crap I’d been eating before. The main reason I stopped it was I had a lot of sudden expenses and couldn’t afford to keep getting it. We’ll see what happens this time.

My first one for tonight’s supper:

I added a little butter to the “rice” and sugar free BBQ sauce to the chicken.

As usual with Factor the chicken breast was dry but it wasn’t tough. It cut easily and was about as tasty as you could expect a plain chicken breast to be. It was supposed to be “spinach’ chicken but there was only 2 small pieces of spinach. The cauli rice was good but there was barely enough to coat the bottom of the tray. I marked this one a NO!

I also had a chocolate protein shake.
