Where are we at?

Question 1) (asking for my son) Do we still have to be a member of FPC to have a ‘braced’ pistol? I’m maintaining my membership, and he probably will, but life gets expensive and he’s always considering places to cut corners (1 child, 1 on the way, house needs work, wife works part time… you know)

Question 2) Now that the “stamp” is free, is it ok to build a suppressor? How? Do you get the stamp then buy the parts, or…? I just hate the thought of a $1,000 price tag for a toy (or, at least, another toy). I build AR’s then hunt with them (not pretending I’d want to drag one of my home made franken-carbines through a swamp or a desert then trust it to fight a war…) but it’s fun and they’re useful. Wouldn’t a homemade can be functional and way cheaper?

I’m not sure Bruen really makes much difference. When it happened everyone thought the NFA was gutted or gone, but it still seems pretty alive and well. And our President and his AG look pretty anti-2A to me.
