I lost my big buddy Pumpkin this morning!

For some reason, we don’t know why, he just howled once and fell over dead. I can’t describe how devastated we are. He was only 3 years old. We’ve lost him exactly 364 days after we lost little Pumpkinhead last year. He’s the third one we’ve lost since they were born in 2003.

I don’t know how much more this old man can take, Gotta go cause the keyboard’s getting wet.

Oh I’m sooooo sorry, this is soooo devastating 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞

All our cats except our mama cat 2.0 were born in our living room in March 2023. We got them all fixed and vaxed later that year. Since they have been strictly indoor cats I didn’t see the point in all the ongoing “boosters. Plus, I did research and learned how bad they are. Flash, our first to die, had a fluid buildup around his lungs. He died on the on the operating table in 2024.
One month later, Houdini spent a week in critical care with a virus. The docs didn’t think she was going to make it but I didn’t give up on her and she didn’t either. She was diagnosed with Chronic Enteropathy
& Hepatic Lipidosis (Suspected). That was a 15+ grand vet bill. We give her medicine and take her to the vet every 3 months. Our little one, Pumpkinhead , was dying of kidney failure and I had to put her down in 2025. Hardest thing I ever had to do. They were all born with what killed them. I’ll never know the cause of Pumpkin’s sudden death and that bothers me a lot. I’m taking 2.0, our mama cat, to the vet soon. She has a marble size cyst on the base of her tail. She’s the sweetest cat ever. We think she’s between 5 & 6 years old.
How we got her is another story for another time.
