A good morning indeed! I got up feeling a little sick but didn't think too much about it until I lit the stove for hash browns. Hmm, red flame, that explains my light headache and nausea. Boy did I get lucky! Now off to the store to buy a carbon monoxide detector. Then figure out what's going on with the furnace.

 I hope your luck holds!

I've considered them before but my inner cheapskate stopped me. Now that I have a couple it occurs to me that they're cheaper than what's in my holster and I'm more likely to need co detectors.

Good morning, all. We’re in Canada, British Columbia, visiting my wife’s family on the way to an Alaskan cruise next week. I’d give you a weather report, but these people don’t know how to give a comprehensible temperature reading 🤣

I’ve decided it’s time for DT to stop talking about the 51st state. These people are ridiculous. We don’t need another 30 million knuckleheads voting in our elections.

Sounds like a wonderful trip 😁😁

Are you driving or Flying??

Daughter & Son in law have stolen our Starlink & doing a 18 day driving tour of BC, Alberta, Sask & it’s their first trip to Canada

What Alaska cruise?? We are looking at several Alaska cruises vs taking the ferry out of Bellingham (I think) and then driving. Wife wants a true cruise & I think on Viking is who she is focusing on

We flew. We had my niece’s wedding in Chicago on Saturday and flew from O’hare to Vancouver on Sunday. (Yes, I had Gene & Jude’s on the way to the wedding.) Right now we’re in the interior of BC at my brother-in-law’s cabin on a lake. Did some fishing this afternoon and caught a few kokanee salmon.

We leave here Friday and return to my mother-in-law’s to do laundry. We board the ship on Saturday. We are on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Koningsdam ship. We leave from Canada Place (Five Sails) Pier in downtown Vancouver and return 7 days later. We’ll stay one day with her mother then fly back to Chicago and my daughter will pick us up and drive home to Dubuque.

We had reservations at North Rim Grand Canyon lodge

Well it’s all burnt to the ground
Good morning! I borrowed the neighbor's carpet cleaner yesterday. It's amazing how much dirt is actually in there by the time it looks dirty. Even though there's only about 75 square feet of carpet it's a pain in the ass to clean. By the time I move the couch to shampoo that area my little trailer is almost blocked off and then wait for it to dry. Today I'll take all my stuff from the table and move it to finish cleaning the carpet. I'll re do the worst area as well. It looks clean but the rinse water was still a little dark.
