The thing is, in this case, I’m specifically thinking home def. Even if they aren’t fully effective, the reduction for the shooting part and subsequent amplification before and after shots are fired is all about not going totally deaf after shots are fired.
i guess I could grab them for the range, too, but I really want them right by the bang sticks in case I need them for intruders. (I have some Axil in-ear I like for the range, but they don’t amplify very much- just enough to hear conversation around- and I wouldn’t want to be stuffing them in my ears while two-legged rats are coming down the hall.)
