I took one of my 80s to the range. Holosun red dot that my right eye sees as two dots about 3/4" apart at 50 yards. The load was my old fire forming one for my .223 imp., 53gr sierra over 24.7grs of 844. 2.5 moa, nothing to write home about but not that bad considering I wasn't using a scope.

I’d be happy with that from most of my ARs with basic ammo and a red dot

It's actually pretty good considering the dot itself is 2moa. I cropped that picture for another forum. Here's the picture showing the last 2 groups fired. ![]() The barrel wasn't a top end one but I did thermofit it to a BCM upper and made sure the gas tube wasn't touching the upper. The trigger is a single stage Timney. The stock is collapsible which isn't the best for accurate shooting, I prefer an a1 stock for bench rest shooting. Hey, at least you got your butt out to the range and sent some lead down range! That's more than I've been able to do in the last 2 years! I hope to change that trend in the near future. Terry |
