63 Degrees and headed to 85 with 20% chance of rain.at my house. My wife's 2003 Honda Odyssey quit on her when she was out shopping yesterday. She had AAA tow her home. I think it's the timeing belt. The Honda only has 256K miles on it. Another expense I do not need right now. Still working on digging up the funds to replace my crapped out heat pump.

65 And raining at my house. I had AAA tow the Honda to my mechanic buddy's house about 45 miles from me. The OBD code was P0336 "Crankshaft position sensor" when I checked it. I did read up on it and there can be multiple causes. One of the least bad ones was the timing belt. I'm guessing on that as my wife said there was a very slight noise when it quit. Maybe the sound of the belt snapping?

I was in a truck once when the timing belt snapped- the little Dodge Ram 50. Fortunately, it was designed not to shear the valves. We replaced the belt and were on our way. My Chevy Classic, however, was a different story. The timing (chain, I think) went and smoked the whole engine. I went car-less for about a year and half after that.

64 Degrees, foggy with 97% humidity at my house and thunderstorms expected this afternoon. Going to dermatology in a couple of hours to get a chunk of cancer cut out of my neck. Gonna be a fun day.

The hole that got cut in my neck actually exposed my external carotid vein. Right now I’m just waiting for the anesthetic to wear off. Then the fun begins!

Ouch!
Had 24 quail. Now have 12. The cocks were eating the eggs, so time for them to go.

Good morfternoon. I've had some great days recently. Thursday I cleaned the gutters on my 5th wheel. The black stuff (some kind of moss?) gets really slippery when it's wet, going to order some zinc powder to eliminate that.
Friday I started to trim the fir trees where they hung over the trailer, but a neighbor took the saw and did it for me. After making a couple piles from that his wife and I raked up the cones.
Saturday I went to a ham fest and met quite a few people I only knew on the air, that was nice. It was really crowded, 440 people attended.
Today I battled my phobia of uncluttered horizontal surfaces. My 4' x4' table now has only a screwdriver, a multimeter, and a Kenwood ts-480sat on it. Hopefully I can figure out what I did to it and fix it.
I recently got a gmrs license and a friend unlocked my yaesu so I can use it for gmrs. I'm surprised at the activity level there, more traffic than the regions most active 2m repeater system. It looks like gmrs is really taking off.
