New Shotgun for Rumpster……..

11 Replies, 2335 Views

Went to the semi local farm/ranch store looking for beef jerky from a small semi butcher that occasionally sells it the

They had a 10% off on everything in store sale….so I wandered over to the gun counter to drool…..talking to the counter guy he said the 10% sale would stack on the 10% military and the store was paying all taxes for veterans today

That’s 26% off everything in the store 😳😳

This store always has an incredible selection of desirable handguns and long rifles & they just got in a shotgun the ATF was going after for having to many imported pieces parts according to the gun counter guy (I thought it was settled but don’t actually know) and the gauge was priced $300 lower than I’ve ever seen……

Sigh……..I’ve got another gun box to deal with now 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫😆😆😆😆😆😆

So…..the adapter & Magpul mossberg stock was easy if you have 2 functioning hands with normal strength

Took me about 3 hours & had to give up & ask the wife for help….but it was a straightforward process,l

Got the Trijicon picatinny rail adaptor/RMR plate and again had to ask the wife for help but it was easy…..just hopefully I used the correct screws

Waiting for fin tip paint pen to mark screws so I’ll know if they come loose

LTT/Magpul fore end &.barrel shroud should be here tomorrow & that hopefully will be easy as will the side saddle shell carrier

Also got a Vangcomp bag that looks like your typical boring old beach chair bag

Blue Force Gear padded Vickers sling…is in Alaska and then dropped off the USPS tracking so who knows where that is…..

It’s been a chore so far with a few dozen swear words & F bombs…..but I’m slowly getting there

Got a case of 500rds Federal 8 pellet 00 buck police trade in at a really good price, & free shipping. Figure I’ll use that to zero and break her in, not expecting 100% reliably as who knows how/where it was stored so it won’t be for social work

Sounds like it's coming along nicely! Pictures of the finished product will be mandatory.

sitting in a parking garage now, it’s hailing with nickel sized hail to golfballs….wonder if the ups/fedex drivers deliver in this or run to shelter somewhere also

Car in garage so just have to shelter the truck, already have little hail damage on the truck, don’t want huge dents or broken glass

I’ve got one of those. It’s a damn fine shotgun. I’ve put THOUSANDS of rounds through mine all the way down to -40 and have never had a malfunction.

I on the other hand, it’s not hard to outrun the trigger. .13 splits is about as fast as it will run without the hammer chasing the bolt.
