Paging Rampy...

Monday I will be laying over in Elko, Nevada. and Tuesday I will be laying over in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Wednesday I am headed to Golden Co to unload and then headed back the way I came in to go home.

My boss and I will each be in our own trucks hauling some sort of specialty items. I am not one to travel far and only agreed to go on this trip to help him out.....anyway, if you are nearby let me know.

We are loading in Folsom, Ca.  Monday morning.

How is that drive across all that area...boring or decent?

From Reno to SLC it’s flat, desolate with very little to see, you will go thru part of the great salt lake and that’s interesting

After SLC & you enter Wyoming the fun begins, 80 is a madhouse, lots of semi crashes or other fun things can happen, with all the crazy drivers & I’m assuming all of 80 is like that.

However, depending on what your driving and the weight watch the winds, I’ve seen winds blow over a train next to 80 & lots of semis blowing over. If they put out wind warnings & your under the weight listed….park and wait….its no joke

I’m assuming you will be staying in a hotel right off of 80/25 interchange as they have lots of parking

I’ve got 2 procedures in Colorado hospital Monday and will be sedated, no idea what I’ll be like Tuesday

golden is a nice little town shoot me a message if ya want anything specific

We will be hauling low loads ( I think) that will put us in the 70,000 pound range. Not full weight but not too light. I'm hoping it's a smooth easy trip. Good luck with your procedures and I will hit you up I can think of anything else along the way.
Let me know when you get into town & if I’m able I’ll meet ya somewhere for dinner

Will do. We are in Elko currently.
Today is the end of day three. We made it into Golden and unloaded and squirted back out of town. We ended up stopping just inside the Utah border for the night. I ran out of hours on my log book. We have been pushing hard for three days.

In the morning we split up and my boss will take my trailer and me his and he is headed into Idaho going to Eugene Or for a load back to Folsom on Monday day. I will be headed home on my own. I’ll have one more night in Fernley Nv then pound ground for home Friday. We have averaged over 600 miles a day and yesterday was 670.

So far I have liked the area between Salt Lake City and the Wy border and I liked the green valley area in Wy.

Rampy, I need some assistance. Along the way home Westbound I saw a little cemetery at the base of a shear cliff right off the north side of I80. For the life of me I cannot remember where it was. What I do remember is it was on a slight downhill, the road turned to the right, I believe there was an over or underpass nearby, The cliffs were worn vertical and lighter colored not grey. It was on a small Alluvial fan at the base of the cliff. It had green plants growing in it. It is really close to the freeway and I remember the terrain dipping down from the freeway and then back up the cliff. The cemetery was higher than freeway level. It was very small but easily recognized.

My days ran together and it could be anywhere between Cheyenne and Reno but I left out of Coalville the day I think I saw it and think it is between there and Salt Lake City.......I also thought it was the same day as I crossed the continental divide but that was the day before.....I have watched three videos of someone driving across those three states and still cannot find this thing....I'm getting obsessed with finding it now.

Could this be the place?

No, I saw that one as it sits on a grassy hill by itself. The one I’m looking for has multiple head stones and it right at the bottom of a shear cliff.

I have done so much searching online AI thinks I have found it and sites a thread I started about it.

I have watched videos and searched google for hours looking for it.
